General Accountant (Senior/Junior)

Role Overview The Senior General Accountant is responsible for leading complex accounting activities, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, and delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across one or more legal entities. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently, mentor junior staff, and engage effectively with auditors, tax advisors, and cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities •      Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and prepayments. •      Prepare and review financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement for management and statutory reporting. •      Manage intercompany accounting, including reconciliation of intercompany balances, elimination entries, and billing across group entities. •      Lead the annual statutory audit process including preparation of audit files, resolution of audit queries, and coordination with external auditors (Big 4 or mid-tier). •      Support treasury and banking activities including review of draw-down documentation, debt amortization schedules, and deferred financing cost calculations. •      Mentor and review the work of junior accountants, providing coaching and feedback to support their development. •      Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines. •      Interest in process improvement, accounting automation, and systems implementation. Role Overview The Junior General Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the company under the supervision of senior finance staff. This role is suited for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to develop a strong foundation in financial accounting, month-end close processes, and ERP systems. Key Responsibilities •      Maintain and update fixed asset registers and supporting schedules. •      Support the preparation of supporting schedules for financial statements and audit packages. •      Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. •      Perform ad hoc analysis and tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager. •      Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under deadlines. Qualifications & Requirements •      Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. •      Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle; ability to run reports and design queries. •      Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including financial modelling, data analysis, and automation. •      Experience in PE-backed, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries (e.g., data centres, real estate, energy, or telecommunications). •      Experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm, transitioning into industry. Qualifications & Requirements •      Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. •      3-5 years of relevant accounting experience; fresh graduates with internship experience are welcome to apply. •      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas). •      Good communication skills in English; proficiency in a local language is a plus. •      Competitive compensation package with performance-based increments.
