Job Title: Engineer MFG Purchasing Company: ACG Worldwide Job Category: SAP MM Roles & Responsibilities: Department: Supply Chain Management Maintain and improve the OTDIF of parts with reduction in OLR, Procurement lead time \& material cost in order to achieve top line \& bottom line target * Primary responsibilities * Material Procurement and Planning for Machining, Casting, Forging parts \& SS Fabrication Parts. * Tracking entire Procurement Activities from MRP run to GIN. * Responsible to develop responsive \& capable supplier base by building strong alignment with Suppliers. * Negotiation and cost reduction by value engineering methods * Making PO and follow up with supplier to get material in time. * Work continuously with all stake holders like suppliers, engineering, quality, etc. to generate good pipe line of VAVE ideas * Co\-ordination with Assembly Department for resolving the day to day issues. * Co\-ordination with PPC and Design for better product procurement. * Expected to have experience in commodities like casting , machining \& plastic moulded parts * Maintain vendor delivery performance data. Be proactive in addressing performance issues * Supplier Capacity Planning wrt material requirement and timely escalations in case of gaps. People development * Transferring his Casting , Forging and Machining process knowledge to his team and develop them in respective area . * Key Result Areas * On time delivery of Material * Quality – OLR reduction by implementing CAPA * Cost savings * Lead time reduction * Inventory in terms of Day’s in hand * Support to VD team for alternate Vendor development. * Awareness of manufacturing processes for Machining ,Casting Process ,Heat Treatment, and Fabrication .Can be from a manufacturing background with hands on experience in machining and fabrication. * Engineering terminologies \& process knowledge * Good Negotiations and Analytical skills. * Understanding of Financial aspects/perspective to be able to discuss business with suppliers at macro level. * Awareness of applicability of various taxations while buying from within and outside India. * Techno commercial Knowledge of purchasing of items. * Ability to network and have good interpersonal skills within the group company people and externally with suppliers. * Good grasping of business model and translation into the requirements in terms of supply base. * Operating knowledge of SAP related to purchasing. * Operating knowledge of MS Office etc * Purchase Planning * Total Cost of Ownership * Inventory Management * Vendor Management * Oversee the quality requirements * Attend the GEMBA meetings . * Take the action and generate the reports on monthly basis as per business rule . * Educational and Experience Requirements Minimum RequirementDesired Level of Education * Graduate BE Mech Experience Key Skills: Procurement, Inventory Management Salary: Not disclosed
