Electrical Engineer Process Plant Maintenance Guyana South America

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in electrical maintenance of process/manufacturing plants. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems and equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, executing preventive and predictive maintenance, and ensuring reliable and safe plant operations.

Key Responsibilities. Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems in process plants. Troubleshoot and maintain HT/LT electrical systems, MCCs, PCCs, control panels, transformers, motors and switchgear. Maintain AC/DC drives, VFDs, soft starters, motors and electrical control systems. Handle electrical maintenance of process equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors and production machinery. Monitor and maintain power distribution systems, DG sets, UPS and battery systems. Diagnose electrical faults and minimize equipment downtime. Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, checklists and maintenance records. Coordinate with production and instrumentation teams for plant maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, LOTO and plant safety standards. Supervise electrical technicians and contractors during maintenance and project activities. Support installation, commissioning and modification of electrical equipment. Maintain adequate critical electrical spares and coordinate with stores/procurement. Analyse recurring breakdowns and implement corrective/preventive actions. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and statutory requirements. Required Qualification. B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance. Strong experience in process plant / continuous manufacturing plant maintenance is mandatory.
