Job Title: E-Commerce Intern Company: Homerite industries Job Category: Digital Marketing Roles & Responsibilities: About the Role Key Responsibilities * E\-Commerce Platform Management: Assist with managing and updating product listings on Takealot, Makro, Leroy Merlin, and other online marketplaces. * Product Listings: Create, edit, and optimise product titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and specifications. * Product Content Creation: Assist with preparing high\-quality product images and marketing materials for online listings. * Inventory Management: Monitor stock availability, update inventory information, and ensure accurate product data across platforms. * Order Management: Assist with processing online orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating order fulfilment. * Marketplace Operations: Monitor seller portals, resolve listing errors, and ensure products meet marketplace requirements. * Sales \& Performance Monitoring: Track product performance, sales trends, and competitor pricing to identify opportunities for improvement. * Promotional Campaigns: Assist with online promotions, special offers, and seasonal sales campaigns. * Customer Service: Respond to online customer enquiries and assist with order\-related issues. * Showroom Assistance: Welcome and assist walk\-in customers, answer product questions, demonstrate products, and support the sales team when required. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to support business growth. Qualifications \& Requirements * Completed a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, E\-Commerce, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field. * Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. * Strong problem\-solving skills and willingness to learn new systems. * A proactive, reliable, and self\-motivated attitude. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good interpersonal and customer service skills. * Experience with Takealot, Makro, Shopify, WooCommerce, or other e\-commerce platforms. * Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools. * Knowledge of SEO and product listing optimisation. * Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and productivity. * Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience. * Basic understanding of online advertising and marketplace promotions.
