Job Title: Data Engineering Manager - Databricks, ETL Company: Optum Job Category: Machine Learning Roles & Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities: * Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using advanced programming languages, and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake) * Develop resilient data architectures across data warehouses, lakes, and streaming environments to support enterprise analytics and reporting * Ensure enterprise data security, governance, quality, and standardization across all data and analytics solutions * Lead the end to end delivery of analytics data products, from design and development through production support and optimization * Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering partners to enable business intelligence, advanced analytics, and machine learning solutions * Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, driving best practices, technical excellence, and continuous improvement * Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements Work Location: Telangana, India Availability: Full time

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Odisha Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Odisha a related field. Typically 3 years of experience * Big Data/Distributed Systems: Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Redshift Odisha Kafka * Data Architecture: Experience with data modeling, warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), and ETL/ELT best practices * Cloud Platforms: Exhaustive experience of working with Azure cloud services * Data Pipelines: Knowledge of designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines * Tools & DevOps: Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow), CI/CD, Git, and Linux (Shell Scripting) * Languages: Solid expertise in Python and/Odisha Scala/Java * SQL & Data Modeling: Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and performance tuning * Soft Skills & Leadership: Demonstrated solid communication, collaboration, and the ability to mentor junior engineers At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
