Job Category: Data Science
Roles & Responsibilities:
Working across strategy, performance monitoring, analytics, automation and emerging technologies, including AI, the team develops innovative data solutions, analytical products and reporting tools that support informed decision\-making and strengthen accountability across the public sector. By combining strategic thinking with cutting\-edge technology, the team influences system\-wide performance, drives continuous improvement, and helps transform data into actionable insights that support positive change for Māori.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your analytical expertise with meaningful, purpose\-driven work. Working at the forefront of analytics, automation and emerging technologies, you'll develop innovative data products, dashboards and evidence\-based solutions that help leaders make informed decisions. You'll explore new data sources, drive continuous improvement, contribute to data governance initiatives, and help grow data literacy across the organisation.
This role offers a unique blend of technical analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic influence. You'll collaborate with a diverse range of people, present insights to senior leaders, contribute to organisation\-wide projects, and play a key role in shaping how data is used to create meaningful impact. If you're curious, innovative, and passionate about turning data into action, this is an opportunity to make a real difference.
