The Role* As an Associate Consultant at Blue Matter, you are stepping into ownership. You will independently drive analytical workstreams on live client engagements, translate complex data into crisp strategic insights, and begin mentoring junior analysts. This role is for someone who does not just execute tasks — they interrogate them, improve them, and connect them to the bigger picture. You will own analytical modules end\-to\-end on active client projects. Your responsibilities span the full arc from data to decision: Develop deep expertise, explore new frontiers* Research therapy areas, pipeline landscapes, and competitor dynamics with the goal of knowing more than the client about their own market. * Independently investigate data anomalies and unexpected findings until you understand the story behind them — never accept outputs at face value. * Proactively bring emerging analytical methodologies, AI\-driven tools, and best practices to the team; help elevate how BMI does its work. Move from analysis to impact* Translate quantitative outputs into strategic recommendations that connect directly to the client's commercial challenge — every chart, every model, every slide must earn its place. * Ask 'How will this analysis change the client's decision?' before designing an approach; suggest a simpler, higher\-impact methodology when it better serves the need. * Design and build polished, client\-ready deliverables: dashboards, forecasting models, segmentation analyses, and executive presentations using Excel, Python/R, Tableau, Qlik, or PowerPoint. * Mentor junior analysts on framing insights and connecting analytical work to business outcomes. Lead from within, lift others up* Actively bridge onshore and offshore teams — share context generously so that the full team can contribute, not just execute. * Invite junior colleagues into internal reviews; create space for their voices and incorporate their perspectives. * Step in to support teammates when capacity is tight — a deliverable belongs to the team, not just to the person whose name is on it. * Build trusted client relationships as a day\-to\-day point of contact, representing BMI's values in every interaction. Level: 0-2 years of experience Location: Gurgaon/ Pune Required* 0-2 years of experience in analytics, data science, or management consulting (life sciences exposure is a strong plus). * Advanced proficiency in at least two analytical tools: SQL, Python, R, Excel/VBA, or Alteryx. * Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear, decision\-ready insights — not just technically accurate outputs. * Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders. * Proven experience working across global, cross\-functional teams. Preferred* Experience in pharma/biotech commercial analytics: forecasting, patient analytics, market segmentation, or launch readiness. * Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI. * BE/BTech/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. * MTech/MS (Statistics or Data Science) is a plus.
