Job Title: Assistant Manager Supply Planning Company: Biotech Healthcare Job Category: SAP MM Roles & Responsibilities: Role Objective The key objective of this position is to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packing materials to support uninterrupted production operations. The role is responsible for executing Material Requirement Planning (MRP) runs, generating purchase requisitions, coordinating with procurement teams for purchase order creation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials as per production schedules. The position plays a critical role in aligning material availability with production plans, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with cross\-functional teams to avoid production delays due to material shortages. Role \& Responsibilities * Execute MRP runs in SAP to identify material requirements based on production plans and demand forecasts. * Analyze MRP outputs and identify material shortages, excess inventory, or planning gaps. * Create and release Purchase Requisitions (PR) in SAP based on MRP results and production requirements. * Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely conversion of PR to Purchase Orders (PO). * Follow up with procurement and vendors to ensure on\-time delivery of raw materials and packing materials. * Ensure material availability in line with the production plan to prevent production interruptions. * Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and consumption trends to maintain optimal stock levels. * Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, Quality, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth material flow. * Track incoming materials and proactively escalate potential delivery delays or shortages. * Maintain accurate planning parameters and master data in SAP for material planning activities. * Support cross\-functional teams in material code creation, BOM updates, and planning master data updates where required. * Prepare and maintain MIS reports related to material planning, shortages, and inventory status. * Ensure proper documentation and adherence to planning processes and internal quality systems. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities * Excellent organizational and planning skills * Effective communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast\-paced environment * Attention to detail and accuracy in planning and reporting * Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills * Proactive decision\-making and issue resolution capability * Reports to: Assistant General Manager – Supply Planning * Team Structure: Individual contributor role with cross\-functional collaboration responsibilities. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. * Professional certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent will be considered an advantage. * 0-1 years of experience in material planning, supply planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment. * Strong hands\-on experience in executing MRP runs and material planning processes. * Experience in raising Purchase Requisitions (PR), coordinating for Purchase Orders (PO), and vendor delivery follow\-ups. * Hands\-on experience with SAP (MRP / MM modules) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. * Solid understanding of inventory management, material planning, and supply chain processes.
