Position: Data Scientist

Job Description: As a Data Scientist at Airtel, you will play a key role in leveraging data to drive business decisions and enhance customer experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Data Analysis and Modeling: Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Develop predictive models and algorithms to solve business problems and improve decision-making.
• Business Intelligence: Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements. Work closely with business units to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Machine Learning: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to automate processes, enhance customer interactions, and optimize network performance.
• Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
• Big Data Management: Work with big data technologies and platforms to process and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, sales, and customer service, to integrate data science solutions into business operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in data science and telecommunications. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives.
• Data Governance: Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of telecommunications data and industry trends is a plus.
