Job Title: Accountant Company: ShopriteX Job Category: SAP FICO Roles & Responsibilities: The purpose of the Rainmaker Accountant role is to ensure accurate financial records, deliver reliable financial information on time, maintain strong financial controls, support audits and compliance requirements, and provide meaningful financial insights that assist management in making informed business decisions. Key responsibilities encompass budgeting, financial reporting, Intercompany process, assessing financial trends to support strategic decision\-making and assisting with the annual audit and Financial Statements for Rainmaker. * Responsible for the monthly preparation and processing of intergroup transactions. * Monthly completion of intercompany schedules for Group Consolidation purposes. * Ensure the effective and timeous production of monthly management accounts for the Rainmaker management team. * Annual budgets and forecasts. * Month\-end and year\-end close processes. * Ensure continuous improvement of reporting to ensure that management has timeous, accurate and value\-adding information to assist in decision\-making. * Monthly profitability analysis per channel and investigating anomalies with the team leads. * Assisting in the preparation of financial statements at year end and assisting with audit queries. * Ensure effective cost management and analysis of financial information. * Review \& complete monthly P\&L and monitor variances to budget. * Preparation of ECL provision. * Monthly completion of schedules for Group Consolidation purposes. * Providing insights into Rainmaker’s financial performance and assisting Rainmaker management team with preparation of divisional meeting information. * Assisting sales and insights team with client spend analysis. * Assist with vendor onboarding process. * Voucher order approvals. * Solid knowledge of accounting standards. * Ability to analyse financial data and generate accurate reports. * Problem solving skills. * Strong time\-management abilities. * Advanced knowledge of MS Excel. * Ability to handle pressure, take ownership and accountability and drive good commercial outcomes. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters. * Accounting degree (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA) advantageous. * \+2 years’ experience in relevant role. * SAP experience – (essential) Key Skills: Profitability Analysis Salary: Not disclosed
