SAP Basis Administrator

This SAP Basis Administrator role at CGI, based in Chennai on a hybrid schedule, covers the full escalation spectrum from Level 1 through Level 3 Basis support within an SAP RISE managed cloud environment. You will perform regular system health checks to catch potential issues before they escalate into production incidents, and manage core landscape activities including system refresh and build processes that keep non-production environments aligned with live systems. User and client administration form a recurring part of the role, covering access provisioning and client-level configuration across the SAP landscape. Performance tuning work spans both traditional NetWeaver components and HANA-based systems, and coordinating with cross-functional teams is expected whenever Basis-level changes intersect with functional work elsewhere in the organization.

Candidates need 2-3 years of SAP Basis experience with practical exposure to SAP RISE, since this role operates within a cloud-managed environment rather than traditional on-premise infrastructure. Comfort handling the full L1-L3 support escalation chain is required, from routine health checks through complex troubleshooting. Practical system refresh and build experience is essential for landscape management responsibilities. HANA and NetWeaver administration knowledge is required given the mixed technology environment. User and client administration skills round out the core scope. Candidates with early-career Basis experience specifically gained in a RISE or cloud-managed context will be particularly well positioned for this Chennai-based hybrid role.
