SAP ABAP Consultant

This senior SAP ABAP Support Consultant role at GSPANN involves providing L2 and L3 support across the SAP ECC/S/4HANA landscape. You will analyze short dumps (ST22), update terminations, and resolve performance issues through debugging and root‑cause analysis. Your daily tasks include troubleshooting IDoc processing, BAPIs, BADI implementations, and User Exits, as well as resolving interface errors with middleware like PI/PO or CPI for Ariba, EWM, and third‑party systems. You will enhance and maintain custom reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, ALV reports, and SAP Scripts, while managing Data Dictionary objects. Participation in code reviews, performance tuning, and unit testing is expected. Collaboration with functional, BASIS, and integration teams is essential for cross‑functional technical problem resolution.

The ideal candidate must have 6+ years of SAP ABAP development/support experience with expertise in RICEF objects, IDoc troubleshooting, and ALE configuration. Strong debugging and performance tuning skills are required, along with hands‑on experience in Enhancement Framework (User Exits, BADI, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements). Working knowledge of OO ABAP and BOPF is preferred. Experience in Workflow troubleshooting and exposure to SAP functional modules (SD, MM, FI, EWM, Ariba) is a plus. Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy) and ITIL processes is desired. A Bachelor's degree in CS/IS is preferred.
