Custom Software Engineer - SAP ABAP Development on HANA

As a Custom Software Engineer specializing in SAP ABAP Development for HANA, you will design, code, and enhance software components across systems or applications. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. You will develop and maintain custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and other SAP ABAP objects. Optimizing existing software components to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability is a key responsibility. You will perform debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning of applications running on SAP HANA. The role requires active participation in Agile development activities including sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.

The ideal candidate must have 4-6 years of proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA with strong experience developing and enhancing SAP ABAP applications and custom components. Required skills include Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP), RICEF objects, CDS Views, ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), and SAP HANA optimization. Knowledge of SAP enhancement techniques including User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework is essential. Experience with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, ALV Reports, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms is required. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, Git, and coding best practices is necessary. B.Sc or B.Tech/B.E. in relevant fields is preferred.
