Job Type: 1 month contract + ext.Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Chinese/Mandarin Translator with a background in commerce and a keen understanding of control testing procedures like SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and IFC (Internal Financial Control). The ideal candidate should be fluent in both written and spoken Chinese/Mandarin and English, with the ability to translate financial, legal, and business-related documents. This role requires high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a working knowledge of financial and operational controls.

Key Responsibilities:
• Translation & Interpretation:
• Translate a variety of documents from Chinese/Mandarin to English and vice versa, including business, financial, and legal texts.
• Provide real-time verbal interpretation during meetings, conferences, and conference calls between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking teams.
• Documentation & Communication:
• Translate and localize content to ensure cultural relevance and accuracy in communication.
• Review and edit translated documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
• Control Testing Support:
• Assist in control testing processes like SOX and IFC, translating relevant documentation and reports.
• Ensure clear understanding of financial control procedures, particularly in areas like internal audits and compliance.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with internal teams, including finance, legal, and compliance, to provide translation support in complex commercial discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure translated content aligns with corporate and financial compliance policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Fluency in Chinese/Mandarin and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Commerce or financial background with experience in understanding financial documents and terminologies.
• Experience in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), IFC (Internal Financial Control), or other control testing processes is a significant advantage.
• Minimum of 3-4+ years of professional translation experience, especially in business, legal, and financial fields.
• Strong understanding of business processes, audit and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience working in a multinational company or similar environment.
• Basic understanding of Indian and international accounting standards and regulatory environments.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
