Key Responsibilities:
As the Head of HR and Recruitment for our India entity, you will oversee all HR functions and recruitment efforts for our operations. Based in our Bangalore offices, you will serve as the senior officer responsible for shaping and executing HR strategies, managing talent acquisition, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Your role will involve leading a team, driving HR initiatives, and supporting our organization’s growth and employee engagement in India with a strong focus on the core discipline of employee management and lead the establishment and management of a Center of Excellence:
• Strengthen Corporate Culture: Cultivate a culture focused on efficient execution.
• HR Programs: Implement a reward system tied to KPIs and deliverables; Define clear guidelines and policies for handling non-performers and terminations.
• Operations: Enhance operational efficiencies across banking, accounting, payroll, benefits management, and compliance with state and central government regulations;
• Oversee administrative services at the India office.
• Provide weekly updates to the Operational Head in the USA office.
• Issue monthly reports detailing HR processes, practices, and administrative activities.
• Recruitment and Staffing: Build a strategic team comprising highly skilled engineers and oversee the recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
• Oversee Payroll: Approve and collaborate with accounting on the management of monthly expenses and payroll online.
• Employee Relations: Address employee grievances, manage conflict resolution, and ensure a positive working environment.
• Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, support career development, and provide coaching to managers and employees.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in India, including handling legal and regulatory issues related to employment.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate training programs, and develop initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
• HR Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and legal requirements.
• Compensation and Benefits: Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and compensation analysis to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
• HR Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to make informed decisions and drive HR strategy.
Requirements:
• Experience working in a SaaS startup or technology company: A strong understanding of the unique challenges and dynamics of the industry. Proven ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, manage technology-driven projects, and contribute to the growth and innovation of a tech-focused organization.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in HR management, with a solid understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, HR best practices, and employment regulations.
